As Kenny Loggins says in his delightful song, “It is Christmas time in Santa Barbara, there is not a snowflake to be found.” Since there is no snow to add to the holiday spirit, many of us have decorated our homes with beautiful lights. They do such a gorgeous job that there are long lines of trolleys driving the neighborhoods to enjoy the show.
In our family we also celebrate Hanukah which is done by lighting candles for eight days. Their light is supposed to be shared with others in a somewhat similar manner.
